Eight Arms To Hold You
Stickers are my tools..

And the world is my canvass.

SO I’m slowly coming to the realization that this blog is missing a lot of me. Originally my blog was meant to be used for processing thoughts, sharing stories and ideas etcetera. Now I’ve just been lazy and just sharing videos. I’m gonna fix that. I miss the old format, I want to read back about what was my obsession, what I thought about it, what I did and so on.

At the moment, my obsession is Stickers. I’m REALLY into stickers, I think they’re amazing. I believe they are a truly fun democratic artform, that is easy to share, produce and experiment with. They are a subversive but non destructive medium which turn anything and everything into a canvass. They can interact with their environment, they can be turned into art, they can be stuck and peeled off if you mess up, they are forgiving and in my opinion, they are the very opposite of elitist.

Elitism = My least favorite bit about Art.

Stickers = Not Elitist.

Stickers = Fun.

Fun = My most favorite bit about Art.

Im currently working on a bunch of projects. Big sticker murals on the streets, at exhibitions and also on throwing a workshop for teenagers to teach them how to make, print and share stickers. It’s the first time I’ve ever tried anything like this and though I feel a little intimidated and trepidious (i just made that word up) i’m going to give it a go. It’s about time I get some official recognition for all the random crap I do.

Anyway, to sign off, this is the latest sticker batch I’ve been working with. I’m putting these little dudes up all over the streets of Brunswick.

Little reminders of death.
